Extrication: Route 2 Exit 18

After taking up from operating in Hebron, Colchester Rescue 1 was dispatched to Route 2 for the accident w/ injuries. Due to conflicting reports, ET-128 arrived first due reporting a 2 car w/ entrapment and established command, a safe traffic flow and deployed a protective line. Rescue 1 arrived moments later and immediately went to work stabilizing the vehicle, providing PT care and removing the crushed driver side door. The patient was delivered to awaiting R 6-28/Lifestar in under 9 minutes.

In other news, this was the 12th call of the day for CHFD volunteers. Additionally during this time, most of our active department were enjoying themselves at the third annual CHFD pig roast. A definite fun time was had by all who attended and took a much deserved break from FD life. Pictures of the crash and Pig Roast will soon be posted.
