3 Working Fires Saturday for Station 28
CHFD Volunteers were kept busy with 3 seperate working fires Saturday!
Station 28 was dispatched via automatic aid to the neighboring town of Lebanon for a possible structure fire. ET-1, Ladder 1,and T-1 rolled out of the house with-in minutes of the tone. Caption Brown arrived just ahead of the first arriving units and finds smoke coming from the “C” and “D” sides of the building. First due ET-128 lead by Lt. Phillips advanced a line down a flight of stairs and located the room of origin. The fire was quickly put to rest. LT. Giudice was riding officer of L-128 and led his crew handling first due truck company operations (vent,search, overhaul) along with help from second due Ladder 126. A quick response ensured the fire was contained to the room of origin and there was no extension. (Pic from FF Bill, Bozrah FD)
Station 28 was also dispatched to Salem for a working garage fire and provided the watersupply and manpower. Pictures can be viwed at http://easternctfire.blogspot.com/
While Station 28 units were taking up from the Salem fire they were dispatched to the town of Hebron for another reported structure fire. ET-128 and HT-128 responded from Salem to Hebron, which is on the other side of Colchester. When Hebron units arrived on the scene they found a working fire in a corner of a large abandoned mill. ET-1 and Ladder 1 crews were put to work to assist Station 10 members. The fire was quickly put under control. This was 28's fourth fire in four days!!

And coordination of multiple companies and mutual aid was handeled seamlessly from World Control!
And let us not forget that we are dispatched by the best regional 911 center in all the land!
