1st Due Structure Fire with three burn victims: Didn't hear about it? Well we almost didn't either.....

A duty Lieutenant at 28's took an early morning call from a local emergency room doctor reporting that they were in the process of treating burns and smoke inhalation for 3 patients from a structure fire in Colchester. Turns out the homeowner was awoken this morning by their smoke alarms, and found a fire in their kitchen pantry. Rather than call 911 they decide it best to try to extinguish and remove the burning material and in the process they all received moderate burns requiring urgent medical attention. Again, they thought best to avoid 911 and self-transport. Colchester units gained access to the home, checked for extension, ventilated and turned things over to the FMO.
