7/30 Day Shift Takes in 12+ runs

It was a nice steady day for the Station 28 day shift with 12 emergency runs before 5pm in addition to several non-emergency service calls.

7/18 Furnace Fire: Safety Note...

6 School Rd, reported smoke from a basement, arriving units found moderate smoke from the basement of a 2 w/f multi-family, 2 furnaces activly malfunctioning. SAFETY NOTE: This building demands caution. There are structural concerns that were found in addition to leaking raw sewage pipes and oil lines. Colchester building official and sanitation officer on scene. Also, there were two seperate furnaces, both in severe disrepair, activly malfunctioning and located in a section of the basement that is surrounded by a locked wire cage. There are 8 occupied units. Approach with due regard for life safety.

64 Briarwood Ln, kitchen fire in a private dwelling. 2nd alarm started for tankers, Hebron RIT team. Quick knockdown, Command held CHFD units for overhaul, mutual aid released.

RT2 Car Vs TT

The RT 2 construction project began today in Colchester and it took only an hour or so before we were sent to the first crash in the construction zone. A TT ran into a car. No pin, minor injuries, R-6 transported to mmc-m.

Small Fire in Private Dwelling 7/1

09:00 CHFD was dispatched to a report of smoke in a building. Units arrived to find an electrical fire that had spread to contents of a crawl space below a single story private dwelling. The fire was beginning to extend into the structure however it was quickly held in check by the quick actions of a local firefighter who responded to the scene.
