8/18 MVA w/ Extrication

Rescue-1 put their tools to work this afternoon on RT 354 at Rt2. Another good job by all on yet another first due wreck.

8/14 New Training Complex

The new training complex/burn building is taking shape! Thank you to all members who have been donating their time in addition to the several contractors who also have graciously donated their equipment and time. In keeping with CHFD tradition, this facility will be top rate providing an abundance of training options and opportunities.

8/14 Busy Rescue 1

Rescue 1 took in 4 crashes today.

8/10 Fire

You are dispatched to a fire alarm at an occupied residential group home with a history of false alarms. Dispatch further advises, "Owner on scene states, no fire, problem with alarm wishing to cancel".....
Glad we decided to still go to the scene with a staffed Engine and verify. Building charged w/ smoke, fire in the wall. FMO investigating.

Members worked a couple more wrecks today. The Auto Insurance industry announced today they are raising rates to any motorist passing through Colchester.

Rescue 1 keeping busy. Also took in a RIT response and another rollover on RT 2 today.

Demo derby day on RT2 tonight. As companies worked an MVA, a multi vehicle crash w/ injuries occurred inside the established travel lane around the original incident. Good example why we send full assignments and have pre-planned apparatus placement procedures. Stay safe!
