Flashover Training

CHFD recently hosted flashover training w/ the Yantic FD. Students received classroom lecture in addition to practical demonstration using Colchester's flashover simulator.

12/24 Structure Fire: Marlborough

CHFD responded to S. Main st in Marlborough for a working fire in a residential basement w/ 1 ALS burn victim.

12/13 Car Fire

RT 16 car fire, no exposures. ET 1- 28 handled with assistance from PD for traffic.

12/8 Farewell to the Drill House

RIP Lebanon Ave Drill House
CHFD conducted it's final training at the infamous 'Lebanon Ave Drill House' to make way for a new 147 lot subdivision.

12/3 Rollover w/ Active Fuel Leak

1 car rollover with injuries and an active gasoline leak. ET-1 crew pulled a protective line & mitigated hazards while EMS initiated patient care. Rescue-1 officer had command. Covering CHFD EMS units also handled an active pediatric choking victim while units were operating this scene.

12/2 MVAs

Busy evening shift with units operating continuously from 18:18 through 23:00. Numerous MVAs (including a 7 car incident w/ injuries that closed RT 2) in addition to the usual medicals including a significant ALS fall out a window.

11/30 MVA w/ Entrapment & Lifestar

CHFD responded to Rt 16 & Rt 207 in Lebanon, 1 Car into woods w/ entrapment & serious injuries.
