3/30 Brush Fire: CHFD Aviation Unit Footage

Colchester FD is fortunate to have a group of local pilots who provide aerial recon at incidents. The volunteer Aviation Unit (Air 1-28)has donated special portable radios to allow for real time communication with the incident commander and they are able to provide immediate aerial size ups and progress reports. Thanks guys!

3/23 MVA w/ Lifestar

1 Car MVA reported serious with 1 unconscious. R-628 performed a quick assesment and transported ALS to a modified LZ in Marlborough. Companies on scene performed thorough secondary searches for a possible 2nd victim with assistance from the PD & K-9 unit.

3/22 Outside Fire w/ Burn Victim

The routine fire turned not so routine when first due units arrived finding a resident with significant burns to the legs and hand. A quick reponse prevented extension to structure, 1 PT transported for burns.

3/7 Deck Fire



After a 12 run day, members at Station 28 were sitting down for a BBQ dinner,when a report of a BBQ fire with exposures was received. ET1-28 arrived finding a gas grill on fire with extension. One line controlled the fire with Ladder 1-28 assisting the Engine.
