10/28 Chimney Fire

CHFD worked the first chimney fire of the season today. With a busy season ahead, members are encouraged to review CHFD SOGs/tactics. There will be chimney fire training this Thursday (19:00). 10/26 Live Fire Training




After a long night of calls, members came together to perform another 5 hrs of live fire evolutions. Focus was on multi-company coordinated fire attacks. Once again, members did an exceptional job working together and building skills.

10/14 Car Into the Water

CHFD Rescue was dispatched to a reported car in the water (pickeral lake), unknown if people trapped. Upon arrival, a car was found to be in the water. After a search, no victims were found to be trapped. PD investigating.

10/5 House of Pain Back in Business



E-3 with a crew of tired members trained at the Salem Burn House today. Departments represented included Salem, Colchester, New Britain (E-1) & Guilford.

10/4 Another MVA

After a good late dinner at 28s, members were sent out for a reported MVA on RT 85. Rescue-1 arrived finding a 1 car with a pole snap, fuel leak and PT with significant injuries. Pt went ALS to Backus.
