8/27 Car vs House w/ Injuries & LPG Leak

Colchester units responded to East Shore Drive for a reported MVA. Units arrived finding 1 car vs house, 2 patients (1 ALS). The car had crashed into the room containing utilites, severing the propane gas line. ET 128 deployed a protective line while R 628 packaged the injured patient and Rescue 128 secured utilities. C 121 had command.

8/23 Rescue 1 Makes a Difference

At 07:30 a frantic resident arrived at the doors of Station 28 requesting assistance for his downed horse. Rescue 1 answered the call for help arriving to find an injured/sick horse that had been down for many hours. The owners, veterinarians and neighbors were about to give up on their beloved 32 y/o friend when they decided to try the CHFD. Members of Rescue 1 worked with the vet team using rigging to raise the horse and to everyone's surprise, the horse was able to stand and eventually walk on it's own. Good job guys!

8/21 MVA- RT 149 Serious Injuries

8/18 Fatal MVA W/ Extrication

Lake Hayward Rd. 1 car rollover w/ entrapment. Rescue 1 arrived finding 2 pts, one trapped under the vehicle in traumatic arrest.
